The Metro 3 is Ergobaby’s all-in-one compact stroller, designed to deliver big comfort in a small, travel-ready package. It balances everyday convenience with premium comfort easily folding to fit tight spaces while keeping parents and little ones supported on the go.
DESIGN BRIEF: Ground-up redesign of the 3rd generation Metro stroller on a new chassis. An opportunity to evolve our design language, reinforce brand identity, and elevate aesthetics and functionality beyond market standards while retaining our core competitive features: lightweight, leading comfort and compact.
ROLE: Lead Designer
RESPONSIBILITIES: Led all aspects of industrial design, both in-house and with external partners. Drove concept development, prototyping, and refinement through to mass production. Owned color and CMF strategy to ensure cohesive, elevated product execution.
DESIGN AWARDS: 2025 Red Dot Design Award
This project was built from the ground up, spanning design to development. I dedicated extensive time validating features, CMF, UX, and comfort with parents from LA to Sweden driving continuous product improvements. Multiple trips to our overseas partners ensured our user-focused design met Ergobaby’s highest quality standards that go above and beyond the category standard.
Simultaneously while working on the stroller I designed, tested and developed nine stroller accessories that successfully launched at the same time as the stroller.
